The new hockey arena in 100 Mile House in the British Columbia interior was completed in 2002. It was built adjacent to the existing 3-sheet curling rink.

Eight Ice Kube units provide the refrigeration and heating for both facilities. Additional heat pumps provide heating and air conditioning in the lobby and office areas. The spectator seats and change rooms are heated by circulating warm water through radiant floor tubing embedded in the concrete bleachers. The change rooms and storage areas are also heated using water heated by the Ice Kube units.

A geothermal dehumidification units controls the humidity in the ice area. It also provides 16-18 tons of air conditioning for comfort control when the ice shed is used in the summer, and 250,000 btuh (75 kW) of heat for additional heating if needed.

The header trench for the rink pipe is eliminated. It is replaced by a serviceable header located in the mechanical room. This allows the rink pipe to be placed to conform to the shape of the rink surface, eliminating the frozen concrete outside the rink corners. This eliminates the potential of someone slipping on the frosted concrete.
